Session Description:
There is significant confusion in business when employers try to meet the requirements of NFPA 70E - 2009 that provides guidance to comply with the OSHA Electrical and Personal Protective Equipment Standards and the National Electrical Code. This session will provide guidance and direction for those businesses in understanding the NFPA 70E "task chart", facility survey requirements, employee training and clothing and tool requirements.
Speaker Bio:
Vincent Miller is the Safety Director for the Washington DC Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and also maintains a private consulting business specializing in Risk Assessments, Fall Protection, Confined Space and Electrical Safety. He holds the titles of Certified Safety Professional, Certified Safety & Health Manager and had the title of Certified Utility Safety Administrator and Accredited Safety Auditor.
Vince has been the President of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) - National Capital Chapter, Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Chapter of ASSE (NOVA)
