Have Your Company Meeting At The PDC In Myrtle Beach!

If you have been to the PDC in Myrtle Beach, you probably looked around and thought “Gee, look at all the folks here from my company.  We should get together and meet while we’re here.”  Well, The PDC Committee has made that request a possibility.

About eight years ago, we were approached by a governmental agency that wanted to have all their national staff attend the PDC but have a meeting room available where they could have their own breakout meetings.  We accommodated them for three years.  Since then other corporations, including the company I work for, have taken advantage of this opportunity.  The PDC Committee charges a reduced registration fee ($200) and work with your organization to set up your meeting room requirements.  Meals and breaks outside of the ones provided during the conference can be arranged and paid for by your company.  Individual hotel rooms for the attendees are their responsibility.

For example, for the last two years our 20 Risk Control Consultants from Maine to Miami, have converged in Myrtle Beach on Monday afternoon of the conference week.  We meet all day Tuesday in a PDC provided breakout room (lunch and break costs are paid by my company).  On Wednesday, we all attend the conference and Night Out activities.  On Thursday morning, we attend the General Session , then have a breakout meeting until lunch time.  Thursday afternoon, some of folks enjoy the PDC Golf Tournament or relax on the beach if they are not attending the PDC afternoon sessions.  Thursday evening, we have an informal pizza and beer dinner in one of the condos.  On Friday morning, we attend the General Session, then have our last breakout meeting ending at noon when we travel home.  The Night Out and Golf registrations are paid for by the individual attendees.  This works out great for our group to get together and get CEUs for continuing education at the same time.  We have already begun planning this year’s meetings.

If your company is interested in trying your company meeting at this year’s PDC, please contact me for questions and assistance in setting up the special registrations and meeting room requirements.
